Research
- PhD dissertation: Novel quantification of long-term hydrological and landscape spatiotemporal dynamics of coupled natural human systems: the case study of the Tempisque-Palo Verde National Park coastal wetland, Costa Rica.
- Untangling complexity in coupled natural and human systems to inform sustainable management: Case study of the water-subzidised Tempisque watershed and downstream Palo Verde National Park wetland.
- Leverage the recent Google Earth Engine platform to integrate the information of public satellite imagery data in interdisciplinary studies and advance the understanding of multi-scale systems spatiotemporal dynamics, trajectory and driving factors.
- Study of vegetation cover spatio-temporal pattern and trend with remote sensing.
- Coupling ground monitoring with MODIS to fathom wetland water dynamics and reconstruct spatiotemporal hydroperiod history.
- Quantification of the paradoxical effects of decreasing river discharge on tidal propagation and increase flooding in coastal wetland.
