Susanta Das

Postdoctoral Research Associate, Agricultural and Biological Engineering

Research focus: Irrigation scheduling based on the crop water stress index (CWSI) estimated using a canopy temperature sensor (infrared thermometer (IRT)).

Education: Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering focusing on irrigation scheduling based on the CWSI and IoT technology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India (2022); M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, India (2018).

Dr. Susanta Das previously worked as a Research Scientist at Northeastern Space Application Centre, Meghalaya, India, where his primary focus was on flood modeling using hydrological models. His educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree from Central Agricultural University, followed by a Master's degree at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, during which he developed a hydrological model for watershed management. He completed his Ph.D. at Punjab Agricultural University, where he specialized in irrigation scheduling using the Crop Water Stress Index (CWSI) and IoT technologies.
