Evaluating the North American Multi-Model Ensemble in the Southeastern
USA
The North American Multi-Model Ensemble (NMME) is an unprecedented effort to improve operational seasonal forecasts using the leading North American climate models. The goal of this work was to evaluate the skill of downscaled model forecasts of precipitation and temperature in the Southeastern USA and tropical Pacific sea surface temperatures and to evaluate the ability of multi-model combinations to improve overall forecast skill.
The results of this work have been accepted for publication in the Journal of Climate (link).
