NEW FRONTIERS OF REMOTE SENSING IN HYDROLOGY
As part of the UF Water Institute Biennial Symposium, the CRS hosted a session: New Frontiers of Remote Sensing in Hydrology. The symposium brought together researchers, faculty, students, and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines to explore innovative approaches to water science and management.
Featuring a panel discussion with Dr. John Conklin, Dr. Peter Ifju (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), Dr. Shirley Baker (Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences), and Dr. Jasmeet Judge (Agricultural and Biological Engineering), this session highlighted emerging applications of remote sensing technologies in hydrologic research, including advances in environmental monitoring, data integration, and decision support.
Participants engaged in dynamic “cafe-style” discussions focused on how remote sensing can improve understanding of water systems and water-related challenges.
