ABE Launches New Website Design
Story by ABE
The UF/IFAS ABE department is excited to announce our new website design.
This website was redesigned with our users in mind and represents our department as a whole. This redesign is one of the many aspects being implemented to the UF/IFAS ABE department’s communication to encourage connection with our audiences inside and outside of the department.
The first major feature of the new website design in the dropdown menu. This menu features tabs for academics, Extension, research, people and resources, along with different levels within each tab. This menu is the main navigation for the website.
Our homepage also features three dropdown selections for quick access to various important topics in academics, research, and Extension. We have also incorporated a section called Explore Our Department that features links to a variety of our programs.
This new website design also has reimagined directories for faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students. Our faculty directory also includes faculty profile pages for each faculty member that includes a biography; summaries for teaching, research and Extension; and sections featuring education, professional experience, awards and honors and more.
Our ABE Blog also been transferred from our previous WordPress site to be hosted directly on our department’s website. This blog will be posted twice a month and will feature departmental news as well as guest authors from around the department.
Our new departmental newsletter, the ABE Update, is also featured on our updated website. This newsletter is a publication to be published each semester that features news about faculty, students, staff, projects, awards, grants, and more. This newsletter can be read on a e-publication reader and can be found in the About Us section of our navigation menu.
We look forward to growing this website to incorporate even more aspects of our department.
