The Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ABE) is a key collaborator in the UF/IFAS mission. As we transform into one of the top departments in the nation, we aim to reflect the University of Florida's preeminence goals and Top 10 ranking by increasing undergraduate enrollment and meeting the growing needs of society.
Innovative teaching space is a critical component of our success. As we prepare our students with the best education and ensure they have access to premier programs and equipment, we need to provide the space needed for their growth as successful professionals.
ABE Alumni and Friends Travel Opportunity Endowment
In honor of our alumni and friends and in support of our current and future ABE students, we have selected this as the giving opportunity to celebrate our centennial. Funding contributed to this effort will support student attendance at national and international conferences. The professional development and networking conducted at conferences provides additional experiences important to student development. Our goal is to raise $30,000 in 2023 to endow this support. We welcome your contributions to this effort!
ABE students participate in professional society events where the best research is presented, and our students are often recognized through awards. These opportunities are critical for student development and networking. The new ABE Alumni and Friends Travel Opportunity Award will help more students participate in these professional development experiences.
