Centennial Celebration and Ceremony
Come together with the University of Florida’s Agricultural and Biological Engineering department to celebrate and honor our department’s centennial year. We will kick off the festivities with our centennial celebration on Thursday evening which will include dinner, dancing, live music, and more! On Friday, we will honor the department’s past accomplishments that have led to today’s successes while also looking towards the future.

October 26 • 5-9PM • Austin Cary Forest Campus • Centennial Celebration
The UF Agricultural and Biological Engineering department is proud to announce that our centennial celebration will be launching the start of our centennial festivities on Thursday October 26th. Join us from 5 to 9pm at the Austin Cary Forestry center as we celebrate with dinner, live music, games, and a guest speaker!
About Our Guest Speaker - Becky Burleigh
In 27 seasons at the helm of the University of Florida soccer team, Burleigh led the Gators to an NCAA Championship, 14 Southeastern Conference titles and 22 NCAA Championships berths. One of two females (and only in DI) in NCAA soccer history with 500 career wins, Burleigh finished her 31-season coaching career in the top 10 on two NCAA Division I Winningest Coaches charts: #4 with 513 win and #8 with a 74.5% winning percentage.

On the morning following our centennial festivities is a ceremony honoring the UF ABE department by recognizing historical events that have led to our current successes. We will also feature a variety of speakers including faculty and student representatives as well as internal speakers from IFAS (Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences) and HWCOE (Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering).
